When to use EPS — and when not to
EPS is the cheapest insulation per box, but it holds temperature for a fraction of the time a VIP or EPP box does, cannot be washed and is not recovered. For repeat lanes, a reusable EPP or rotomoulded box is normally cheaper per trip. For a one-way domestic fish or produce consignment, EPS is the right call.
