A prefab labour camp is temporary or semi-permanent worker accommodation — dormitories, kitchens, dining halls, toilets and site offices — built from factory-made insulated panels on a steel frame instead of brick and block. Because every wall, roof and floor panel is cut in the factory, a camp for hundreds of workers can be erected in weeks, kept cool in summer and warm in winter, and moved to the next project when the contract ends. That makes a prefab labour camp faster, cleaner and cheaper over its life than masonry or bare steel porta-cabins.

Can a prefab labour camp be relocated?
Yes. Panels and frames are bolted and screwed, so blocks can be dismantled at the end of a project and re-erected at the next site, which lowers the cost per project.
