Needled alumina-silicate ceramic fiber blanket for furnace, kiln, boiler and fire-door insulation — plus the boards, modules, paper, tapes, cloth, bulk wool and high-temperature glue that go with it. Classification temperatures from 1,100 °C to 1,650 °C, densities 64–160 kg/m³, thickness 6–100 mm.
A standard 25 mm × 610 mm × 7,600 mm roll covers 4.64 m² and weighs about 15 kg at 128 kg/m³. Prices from ₹162/m² (64 kg/m³, 25 mm, ex-works). Ceramic fiber blanket — AlSi 1100 / 1260 / 1450
The Wedge AlSi blanket is spun aluminium-silicate fibre, double-needled into a flexible mattress with high tensile strength and low heat storage. It is the most-ordered item in our refractory range: furnace and kiln back-up lining, boiler and chimney insulation, fire-door infill, pipe wrapping and expansion-joint packing. Available as mattress (roll) or semi-rigid board form.

Which ceramic fibre grade for which temperature?
Rule of thumb: choose a classification temperature at least 150–200 °C above the maximum hot-face temperature, so shrinkage stays low over the life of the lining.

Where specifications call for low bio-persistence (alkaline-earth silicate) fibre — EU REACH projects, OEM appliances, export to Europe — use the Wedge CaSiF blanket. Calcium-silica-magnesium chemistry, needled, 96–180 kg/m³, λ 0.04 W/m·K at 100 °C and shrinkage < 1.3 % at 1,000 °C / 24 h.

Ceramic fibre board — HDAlSi and ALESI vacuum-formed boards
Vacuum-formed ceramic fibre boards are rigid, machinable and take load and vibration that a blanket cannot — burner blocks, hot-face linings, door linings, flue baffles and gaskets. Thickness 2–50 mm; sheets up to 1,000 × 1,200 mm.

Ceramic fiber blanket — frequently asked questions
What is the maximum temperature of a ceramic fiber blanket?
It depends on the grade. Standard AlSi 1260 blanket is classified at 1,260 °C and is normally used to about 1,100 °C continuous. Zirconia-bearing AlSi 1450 grades go to 1,350–1,430 °C, and polycrystalline AlSi 1600 / 1650 blanket is rated for continuous service to 1,600 °C.
Which density should I choose — 64, 96, 128 or 160 kg/m³?
