Overview
An XPS water tank insulation cover is the correct choice wherever the tank is buried or permanently wet. The XPS Board Water Tank Insulation Cover from Wedge Industries Limited is a made-to-size insulation cover for water storage tanks, manufactured in extruded polystyrene (xps) board, shiplap edge. Near-zero water absorption. The board for buried, sump and permanently wet tank applications.
XPS is the material that does not care about being wet. Buried tanks, sumps, tanks in standing water — this is where every other board fails and XPS keeps its R-value.
An uninsulated water tank loses heat in winter, gains it in summer and sweats with condensation in between. On a rooftop tank in India, an uncovered tank can leave stored water uncomfortably hot through the afternoon and cold by dawn. A correctly specified cover holds the tank’s temperature and stops surface condensation from dripping onto the structure below.

Installation
Every cover is manufactured to your tank’s dimensions — supply the diameter and height, or the tank model, and we cut to match. Covers are supplied with the fixing system appropriate to the material: adhesive and foil tape, banding straps, or Velcro and buckle closures on removable jackets.
Surfaces should be clean and dry before fitting. Seams are sealed with matching foil tape so the vapour barrier is continuous — an unsealed seam on a cold water tank will condense internally and defeat the cover. A full application guide is issued with every order.
