Overview
Locally blended closed-cell water-blown spray polyurethane foam system, formulated in India with imported polymeric MDI. Supplied ex Greater Noida for same-week replenishment — the fast-supply option when an import shipment would put a committed job at risk.
Polyol and isocyanate are supplied only as matched sets. Coverage is pure arithmetic from sprayed density — kilograms per square metre equals density multiplied by thickness, plus a wastage allowance — so a job can be costed to the drum before mobilisation.

Applications
- Warehouse, factory and PEB metal roof insulation
- Cold storage and cold room walls, floors and vapour sealing
- Poultry and dairy shed roofs
- Terrace and roof heat-proofing under a UV top coat
- Tank, vessel and pipework cold insulation
Handling & Storage
- Store shaded and ventilated at 15–35 °C; precondition drums to ≥27 °C for 24–48 hours before cold-weather use, with band heaters below 15 °C
- Keep isocyanate drums sealed; re-seal with a dry nitrogen blanket once opened, as MDI reacts with atmospheric moisture to form crust and pressure
- Agitate polyol before use; the blend carries surfactant and catalyst that can stratify
- Strict FIFO rotation by drum date against the 6-month shelf life
- Supplied-air respirators mandatory for all spraying; segregate isocyanate and polyol storage zones and keep a spill kit on site
Available in drums, IBCs and totes. Precondition drums to ≥27 °C for 24–48 hours before winter use; store shaded and ventilated at 15–35 °C.
Why buy from Wedge Industries Limited
- Shortest lead time of any qualified system — supply from Greater Noida, not a 6-week sea pipeline
- UL 94HF-1 and FMVSS 302 fire data in hand, useful in tightening Indian fire-code bids
- IBC and tote options for applicators running enough volume to move off drums
- Manufacturing and sourcing bases in India, UK, Spain and China; exports to 45+ countries
- Gun spares, mix chambers, seals and screens held alongside chemical stock
- Applicator training and QC protocol available — thickness mapping, density coupons and batch records
- Export documentation and HS-code support through our sister consultancy, ZJELL Limited
Frequently Asked Questions
How much area does one drum set cover?
At 38 kg/m³ sprayed density with a 12% wastage allowance, a 400 kg set covers approximately 188 m² at 50 mm, 117 m² at 80 mm and 94 m² at 100 mm. A 440 kg set covers approximately 207 m² at 50 mm.
Is this a water-blown system?
Yes. Water-blown chemistry is supplied as the default because HFC-245fa and HFC-365 blowing agents face quota restriction and a 2040 phase-out. Water-blown systems carry a slightly higher k-value but are the future-proof specification.
What machine do I need to run it?
A Graco Reactor E-20 class or higher electric high-pressure proportioner with heated hose and impingement gun. Set pressure at or above 82 bar balanced within 10% between A and B sides, with primary heater and hose at 43–52 °C.
What is the shelf life and how should it be stored?
Six to seven months from manufacture. Store shaded and ventilated at 15–35 °C, keep isocyanate sealed under a dry nitrogen blanket once opened, agitate polyol before use, and rotate stock strictly first-in-first-out by drum date.
Do you sell to independent applicators?
Yes. Wedge Industries Limited supplies matched drum sets to partner applicators across India, with gun spares, mix chambers and technical support. Density-coupon checks apply on jobs where co-branding is used.
Is the isocyanate sold separately?
No — matched sets only. Pairing a polyol with an unqualified isocyanate voids all published performance data and is the most common cause of soft, friable foam on site.
Pricing
Drum-set pricing moves with isocyanate and polyol feedstock and with the rupee, so rates are quoted live rather than listed. Request a current applicator rate in ₹ per kg and $ per kg, stating annual tonnage, pack preference (drums, IBC or tote) and delivery location. Standing-order applicators are priced against contracted monthly volume. See also our spray foam insulation application service.
