Wedge MgO Board (WEMAG-S 1000) is a magnesium oxide board supplied in thirteen thicknesses from 4 mm to 25 mm, at a standard 2440 × 1220 mm sheet size. MgO board is specified where gypsum fails: humid and wet interiors, external soffits, coastal projects, and fire-rated construction. It is dimensionally stable in moisture, it is non-combustible, and it takes a screw fixing without the crumbling you get from a saturated plasterboard.

MgO board and NBCS 2026
India’s move from NBC 2016 to NBCS 2026 replaced prescriptive material lists with a performance route. For a fire-rated partition this means the tested system report decides compliance, not the board name on the drawing. MgO board is well placed under this regime because a single board can carry combined fire, acoustic and thermal performance — but only if you can produce a current test certificate.
