Overview

Wedge heat resistant adhesive HTAL1000 WK 84/16 is the fluid version of the HTAL1000 high-temperature glue. It has the same inorganic, asbestos-free chemistry and the same 1,000 °C classification temperature as the paste, but a thin, free-flowing consistency that is applied by roller or brush.

The fluid grade is chosen when speed matters: it sets in about 1 hour and hardens in 8 hours, against 8 h and 24 h for the paste, so laminated boards can be handled the same shift. It spreads a uniform, thin glue line over large faces — ideal for laminating insulation boards into thicker panels, bonding ceramic fibre blanket and paper, and production lines making oven, stove and appliance insulation parts.

Heat resistant adhesive price

Wedge Industries Limited sells heat resistant adhesive at ₹485 per kg (≈ $5.50 per kg at ₹88/$, indicative) with a minimum order quantity of 200 kg — a 200 kg order is ₹97,000 (≈ $1,100). Orders below 200 kg are quoted on request. The fluid grade is packed in 15–20 kg buckets; repeat production users can be quoted on an annual volume basis. Project and export orders are priced in ₹ INR and $ USD with delivery to site in India or CIF/DAP to your port.

Applications

  • Laminating insulation boards — building up thick calcium silicate, perlite or microporous panels from thinner sheets.
  • Ceramic fibre blanket, paper and felt bonded to boards or steel up to 1,000 °C.
  • Appliance and stove manufacturing — ovens, fireplaces, boilers and heaters where a fast, smoke-free bond is needed on the line.
  • Large-area insulation on steel — ducts, hoods, flues and casings where rolling is quicker than troweling.
  • Fire-protection board systems with incombustible glue lines.

How to apply heat resistant adhesive

  1. Process at 5–40 °C on clean, dry, dust-free surfaces.
  2. Stir the fluid well, then apply an even film with a short-pile roller or brush to one face.
  3. Join the parts within the open time and press uniformly; light weights or clamps help on laminated panels.
  4. Handle after about 1 hour; the bond hardens in 8 hours and reaches full hardness after one week.
  5. Seal buckets after use and keep frost-free; shelf life 6 months.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best heat resistant adhesive for insulation?

For insulation boards, ceramic fibre and steel up to 1,000 degrees Celsius, an inorganic high-temperature glue such as Wedge HTAL1000 is the right choice because it does not burn, soften or smoke. The fluid WK 84/16 grade is best for large areas and fast production; the paste WK 84 grade suits trowel work and vertical faces.

How hot can this heat resistant adhesive get?

HTAL1000 WK 84/16 has a classification temperature of 1,000 degrees Celsius. For refractory hot-face joints up to 1,700 degrees Celsius Wedge supplies the HTAL1600 refractory adhesive.

How fast does the fluid heat resistant adhesive set?

It sets about 1 hour after application, hardens in 8 hours and reaches full hardness after one week, when processed at 5 to 40 degrees Celsius.

Can it be applied with a roller?

Yes. The fluid consistency of WK 84/16 is designed for roller or brush application, giving a thin, uniform glue line over large board and blanket areas.

Is the heat resistant adhesive asbestos-free?

Yes. HTAL1000 is inorganic and asbestos-free. It is incombustible, does not generate smoke and its high pH does not damage steel.

What is the price of heat resistant adhesive?

Wedge Industries Limited sells heat resistant adhesive at INR 485 per kg (about USD 5.50 per kg) with a minimum order quantity of 200 kg, so a 200 kg order is INR 97,000. Orders below 200 kg are quoted on request. Send the quantity and delivery city or port on WhatsApp +91 97175 06848 or through Get Price.
