Overview

Wedge High Temperature Insulation Glue in the 10 kg bucket is the HTAL1600 high temperature resistant adhesive — a high-alumina, air-setting refractory glue. As printed on the label it is ready to use, offers high temperature resistance up to 1,600 °C and gives strong adhesion; the data sheet rates HTAL1600 for service at 1,600–1,700 °C.

The 10 kg bucket is the practical size for plant maintenance teams, kiln and furnace contractors and fabricators: enough for a shutdown repair or a set of burner-block and door-seal joints, without opening more material than will be used. It air-sets at ambient temperature — initial set in 1–2 hours, final set in 4–6 hours — so no heat is needed to cure, and its shrinkage below 3 % keeps joints tight through thermal cycling. For bonding insulation at up to 1,000 °C, the lower-cost HTAL1000 high temperature adhesive is supplied in larger paste and fluid buckets.

High temperature resistant adhesive price

Wedge Industries Limited sells high temperature resistant adhesive at ₹485 per kg (≈ $5.50 per kg at ₹88/$, indicative) with a minimum order quantity of 200 kg — a 200 kg order is ₹97,000 (≈ $1,100). Orders below 200 kg are quoted on request. At ₹485/kg a 10 kg HTAL1600 bucket is ₹4,850 and the 200 kg MOQ is 20 buckets; mixed orders with ceramic fibre boards, blankets and calcium silicate are welcome. Project and export orders are priced in ₹ INR and $ USD with delivery to site in India or CIF/DAP to your port.

Applications

  • Shutdown and breakdown repair of hot-face linings in furnaces, kilns, ladles, reheating and heat-treatment furnaces.
  • Bonding and jointing ceramic fibre boards, refractory fibre boards and ropes above 1,000 °C.
  • Thin, strong joints in refractory brickwork; sealing air and gas leaks around burner blocks, doors and peep-holes.
  • Quick patch repair and small monolithic sections — HTAL1600 can be shaped or moulded.
  • Investment-casting mould bonding and gas and steam turbine insulation jointing.

How to use the 10 kg bucket

  1. Remove dust, slag and loose material from the faces to be joined; surfaces should be clean and sound.
  2. Open the bucket and stir — the glue is ready to use.
  3. Apply a thin, even layer by trowel, press or tap the parts together and remove excess.
  4. Leave undisturbed for the initial set (1–2 h); the final set follows in 4–6 h at ambient temperature.
  5. Bring the lining up to temperature on its normal dry-out and heat-up schedule. Reseal the lid tightly after use.

Frequently asked questions

What is a high temperature resistant adhesive?

It is an adhesive that keeps bonding at very high operating temperatures. The Wedge 10 kg High Temperature Insulation Glue is HTAL1600, a high-alumina air-setting refractory adhesive with high temperature resistance up to 1,600 degrees Celsius and a data-sheet service range of 1,600 to 1,700 degrees Celsius.

What is in the 10 kg bucket?

The 10 kg bucket contains Wedge HTAL1600 high temperature insulation glue: ready to use, high temperature resistance up to 1,600 degrees Celsius and strong adhesion. Its data sheet gives a density of 1,800 kg per cubic metre, shrinkage below 3 percent and 32 percent Al2O3.

Does it need mixing or heat to cure?

No mixing is needed: open the bucket, stir and apply. HTAL1600 is air-setting, with initial set in 1 to 2 hours and final set in 4 to 6 hours at ambient temperature, so no heat is required for the cure.

Which should I choose — HTAL1600 or HTAL1000?

Use HTAL1600 where the joint sees more than 1,000 degrees Celsius: hot-face ceramic fibre boards, refractory bricks, burner blocks and kiln repairs. For bonding calcium silicate, microporous, perlite and backup boards up to 1,000 degrees Celsius, the HTAL1000 paste or fluid grade is the economical choice.

Can it repair a broken insulation or refractory board?

Yes. Clean both faces, apply a thin layer, press the pieces together and support them through the initial set of 1 to 2 hours. Allow the final set of 4 to 6 hours before the part goes back into service, then follow the normal heat-up schedule.

What is the price of the 10 kg high temperature resistant adhesive?

Wedge Industries Limited sells high temperature resistant adhesive at INR 485 per kg (about USD 5.50 per kg) with a minimum order quantity of 200 kg, so a 200 kg order is INR 97,000. Orders below 200 kg are quoted on request. Send the quantity and delivery city or port on WhatsApp +91 97175 06848 or through Get Price.
